Supportive Parents

Thank you very much to all the parents who have come to the year group information sessions over  the last couple of weeks, it shows how much you care about your child's education. We, the staff of Dunmurry Primary School, firmly believe that children do best when teachers and parents work together and this year we have had the best response to parents workshops. We hope everyone found the information useful and you will then get an update on your own child at the parent - teacher consultations the week beginning 16th October.

This week we had the local community police in to visit - they talked to everyone about the importance of staying safe in the run up to Halloween in a fun and informative way.

On Thursday our football team were playing again and although they lost some matches they played very well and won one match. We have a mix of P5, 6 and 7 children in the team whereas some bigger schools have all P7 so we are very proud of our team effort.

Coming up next week;

  •  Monday 9th October - P6 & P7 are visiting the 'Life Exhibition'
  • Tuesday 10th October - Interschools Quiz at Meadowbridge Primary - a team of 4 are representing our school
  • Thursday 12th October - Football team matches
  • Friday 13th October - P1-7 Sponsored walk at Hillsborough Forest Park - uniform to be worn please.
