Dogs trust visit

This week has flown by with the bank holiday on Monday and our bonus day off for the election yesterday! Back to normal routine next week.

During our short week we were very lucky to have a visit from Julie Haggerty who came in to talk to us about The Dog’s trust. She visited each class from P1 to P7 and everyone loved the furry friends she brought with her! Thank you Julie.

You will all now be aware of the strike action by the members of the unite union. For us this is affecting our school dinners, which we haven’t been able to get from the kitchen who supplies us. The information that came through today states the strike action will restart again on Wednesday 11th May to 1st June. I will keep everyone updated each week to what is happening with regards to dinners. This also affects the P5 swimming bus so we are looking into alternatives to allow P5’s to go swimming. We hope to go next Wednesday but will update you next week.

Coming up next week:

  • Monday 9th May - school dinners available for all (fish fingers and chips)
  • Tuesday 10th May - school dinners available for all
  • Tuesday 10th May - Mrs Hackett at a conference, Mr Lewis will be at the gate
  • Wednesday 11th - Friday 13th May - no school dinners, packed lunches provided for those entitled to free school meals.
