P5 were celebrating World Down Syndrome Day with Ceri by wearing some very interesting odd socks!
Indoor Cricket competition
The P6 children have really enjoyed their cricket coaching with Wayne this term for their P.E. sessions. They have all learnt new skills, improving their bowling, batting and fielding. Eight children from P6 were selected to play in an indoor cricket competition at Lisburn Rackets Club. There were 6 schools invited and we played several matches to eventually win and become the champions!
Cultural Visits
We continued our cultural visits this week. P4 were delighted to welcome Erica Brodie to their classroom to learn all about Bethlehem, which is where she is from. They loved hearing all about its geography, history, dress and customs. The favourite part was tasting the very delicious date sweet treats she brought for them to sample.
Busy P1 pupils
P1 are always very busy, and this week was no different. They enjoyed playing dominos outside and are getting very good at their phonics. They are even beginning to think about being ready to move on to P2.
